Congressman Bob Good, representing Virginia's 5th district since 2021, recently shared his views on several pressing issues via social media. Good, who replaced Denver Riggleman in the U.S. Congress, expressed strong opinions on credit card rate caps, government spending, and the federal government's role.

On February 7, 2025, Congressman Bob Good criticized efforts to cap credit card rates at 10%, suggesting that such measures demonstrate "a fundamental misunderstanding of our competitive free market." He pointed out that "there is a reason Bernie Sanders supports it" and rhetorically questioned why not just ban credit cards for everyone except the elite. According to Good, "price-fixing doesn’t work but hurts those it purports to help." "Efforts to cap credit card rates at 10% represents a fundamental misunderstanding of our competitive free market."

The following day, February 8, 2025, he made a succinct statement about the federal government's role in national issues: "The federal government IS the problem. Cut and eliminate." "The federal government IS the problem."

On February 9, 2025, Congressman Good commented on fiscal policies within his party. He expressed disappointment that two-thirds of House Republicans do not genuinely support cutting spending. He alleged they are planning a continuing resolution (CR) to extend Democratic policies and spending levels beyond the March 14 funding deadline while merely pretending to support fiscal discipline efforts by DOGE.
