Bob Good, a Congressman representing Virginia's 5th district, recently expressed his views on economic and legislative matters through a series of tweets. Good, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Denver Riggleman, shared his opinions on the national deficit and the PRO Act.

On February 19, 2025, Bob Good tweeted about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its financial measures. He stated that "DOGE now estimates it has cut $55 billion. That is about a week’s worth of the annual deficit of $2 trillion+. CUT, CUT, CUT!!!"

The following day, February 20, 2025, he criticized fellow Republicans who might support the PRO Act (HR 842). He questioned their support by tweeting: "How could any 'Republican' ever support the terrible and dangerous PRO Act (HR 842)? This bill would eliminate the ability for a small business to fight unionization, ban right-to-work laws, require all employees to pay union dues," linking to further information on this issue.

In another tweet on February 20, Good detailed additional concerns regarding the PRO Act. He outlined potential negative impacts by stating: "give unions all employees’ personal contact info, eliminate secret ballot elections, prohibit replacing striking workers, increase employer financial penalties up to $100k, devastate franchises, independent contractors & gig workers."
