Coalition For a Cleaner County to Hold Public Meeting
The Coalition for a Cleaner County (CCC) will hold a Public Meeting Tuesday, March 28, from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm at the County Administration Building (153 Washington Street). The meeting will be used to discuss potential solutions, upcoming activities, and ways to increase citizen involvement in tackling the county's litter problem together. The County Administrator commissioned the CCC to tackle the litter on the sides of Amherst County roads in 2020. Members include representatives from the Amherst County Administrator's office, Community Development, Public Works, Amherst County Sheriff's Office, The Economic Development Authority, the Virginia Department of Transportation, and community members. Virginia Myers serves as the committee's chair.
