We need your help and your cards/letters! We recently became aware of a true hero in Campbell County! John is 99 years old and served in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. He was badly wounded during the fight, but persevered and went on to serve the USPS for 20 years upon returning home. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his military service and bravery, but due to being hospitalized was never able to have his recognition ceremony.
Would you consider helping us honor this veteran by writing a card or letter thanking him for his service? Please send them to Veteran Recognition Project, Campbell County Public and Employee Relations (PER), P.O. Box 100, Rustburg, VA 24588.
We'd like to have all letters by August 5 and will ensure he receives them along with a special recognition from our Campbell County team. Thank you in advance for helping to acknowledge this local hero!
