Campbell County Firefighter I Academy Training Highlights

8

County of Campbell issued the following announcement on Jan. 31

Campbell County Public Safety has been holding firefighter training for firefighter candidates since 12/2/21. The course delivery has been a first for Campbell County as it has provided students with the ability to complete the classroom work online, and then train together in practical scenarios for the completion of skill requirements.

This challenging course has each student commit nearly 200 hours of training. Sessions are held on Saturday and some Sundays for eight hours.

Twenty four students have been enrolled, with representatives from: Brookville, Timberlake, Concord, Gladys, Lyn Dan Heights, Rustburg, Evington, BWXT, and Campbell County Public Safety.

A big thank you to the firefighters candidates as they prepare for state testing and the conclusion of the course on 04/23/2022.
