Board Approves Changes to ARPA Spending Plan

At their November 2, 2022, meeting, the Amherst County Board of Supervisors approved changes to the spending plan for the $6,138,901 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds the County received.

Due to the lessening need for COVID-related expenses, the Board approved two changes to the plan. In addition to the projects already funded by ARPA, the money will now help cover the cost of a $10,000.00 repair to the Public Meeting Room sounds system and a whole system dehumidifier for the Department of Social Services offices. Mold has continued to be a problem in these offices, and an entire system dehumidifier will help correct this issue and prevent it from continuing.

A record of other ARPA spending can be found here on the county website.
