Board of Supervisors Congratulates VCOA Graduate

County of Amherst issued the following announcement on Nov. 1

The Amherst County Board of Supervisors would like to congratulate Public Safety FirefighterParamedic, Ben Bond on his graduation from the Virginia Fire Officer’s Academy (VFOA).

The Virginia Chief Officer Academy is a week-long residential leadership course designed to prepare the newly appointed or prospective chief officer for various aspects of leadership challenges they may face. Mr. Bond is currently acting as EMS Captain on C Shift for Amherst County Public Safety

Captain Sarah Mullins, Deputy Directory Jarred Scott, Director of Public Safety Sam Bryant, and Mr. Bond’s wife, Melissa Bond, attended the graduation in Wirtz, Virginia.
