Liberty University Athletics issued the following announcement on July 27
The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Tuesday the members of the 2020-21 Honors Court, which features four Liberty players in Tytist Dean, Blake Preston, Josh Price and Colton Reed. The NABC Honors Court highlights the talents and gifts that these men possess on the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
"This award is a reflection of the hard work our student-athletes have put in the classroom," head coach Ritchie McKay said. "The same passion that our players displayed on the court is the same work ethic they show in the classroom. This award wouldn't be possible without Kristie Beitz, and the rest of our academic staff."
To be named to the NABC Honors Court, you must be a junior or senior and have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher during the conclusion of the academic year. Liberty is one of three schools in the ASUN Conference to have players make the NABC Honors Court, joining FGCU and North Florida.
