Congressman Bob Good, representing Virginia’s 5th district, has recently shared his perspectives on several pressing issues on social media. Known for his conservative viewpoints, Congressman Good replaced Denver Riggleman in 2021 and has been a vocal participant in legislative discussions. On April 1, 2025, Congressman Good addressed the complexities and challenges of serving in Congress, while expressing his views on proxy voting and the SAVE Act.

On April 1, 2025, Congressman Good stated, "Serving in Congress is difficult and requires great sacrifice. Proxy voting is unconstitutional, and should not be permitted." This message highlights his stance against the practice of proxy voting, emphasizing its perceived unconstitutionality.

Later that day, he queried the political climate regarding a recent vote, asking, "Will there be any threats, consequences, or leadership pressure against the mostly moderate 9 R’s who voted against the rule for the SAVE Act, in order to reinstate unconstitutional proxy voting?" This query suggests his concerns over potential repercussions faced by moderates opposing certain legislative measures.

In a follow-up post, he asserted, "Of course not—-they aren’t conservatives standing on principle against deficit spending.” This statement clarifies his belief that conservative principles, particularly those against deficit spending, are not the driving factors for these individuals.
