An important way for citizens to become engaged in their community is to volunteer to serve on a City Council appointed board or commission. On Tuesday, June 28, Lynchburg City Council will consider appointments to several boards and commissions during a closed session:

Historic Preservation Commission (at least 1 vacancy requires fulfillment of the Professional Qualifications Standards)
Martin Luther King, Jr./Lynchburg Community Council
Museum Advisory Board
Youth Services Citizens Board
Other Vacancies
Lynchburg Regional Airport Commission
Planning Commission
Social Services Advisory Board
