Congressman Good Issues Statement on Passage of H.R 3807 Relief for Restaurants and Other Hard Hit Small Business Act of 2022

44

Today, Congressman Good voted against H.R. 3807, Relief for Restaurants and other Hard Hit Small Businesses Act of 2022. The bill would spend another $55 billion and create yet another new federal program.

“The Biden and Fauci policies of fear, uncertainty, and regulation have led to a withering economy and runaway inflation. This bill does nothing to address the fundamental problems facing small businesses and restaurants caused by the tyrannical COVID-19 lockdowns and regulations. Adding another $55 billion to our debt and creating another federal program in the name of COVID-19 are not the answer. The best way to move forward is to acknowledge the pandemic is over, return to normal, stop incentivizing people not to work, and quit throwing money we don’t have at problems caused by these forced COVID shutdowns,” said Congressman Good (VA-05).
