Gilles Ouedraogo broke Liberty University’s outdoor triple jump record with a leap of 52-4.5 to win at Penn Relays on April 25 amid challenging weather conditions in Philadelphia. Several other Liberty athletes also secured top-three finishes during the meet.
One running event is scheduled to take place in the Lynchburg Metro during the week ending May 1, offering an opportunity for adults to compete, stay active, and take part in organized races.
Liberty heads into next week’s Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship as the top seed following a strong regular season performance at Texarkana Country Club in Arkansas. The Flames aim to add another conference title after reaching match play each year since joining CUSA.
