Delegate Wendell Walker, a Republican representing Virginia’s 52nd House district since his 2024 election, has recently used his Twitter account to address legislative issues and highlight local economic development initiatives.
On May 4, 2026, Walker posted about the importance of legislative responsiveness to constituents and victims: “ICYMI: ‘Well, there is something that we would go back and look at. You know, after talking to victims and listening to court cases out here and then listening to constituents, people who come to us and bring these types of issues, what can we do or what can the lawmakers, the”.
The following day, on May 5, 2026, Walker acknowledged Economic Development Week by recognizing the various sectors contributing to growth in Lynchburg and Central Virginia. He stated: “During Economic Development Week, we celebrate the industries, professionals, and organizations that help keep Lynchburg and Central Virginia growing strong. From manufacturing and energy to healthcare, education, technology, and small businesses, our local industries play a”.
Continuing this theme on May 6, 2026, Walker emphasized the significance of ready-to-use industrial sites for attracting new employers: “During Economic Development Week, it’s important to recognize one of the most critical (and often overlooked) parts of attracting new jobs and investment: pad-ready industrial sites. If we want to attract major employers and new investment to Virginia, businesses cannot afford”.
Walker succeeded Luke Torian as representative for Virginia’s 52nd House district following his election in 2024.
