City of Lynchburg issued the following announcement on Feb. 25

Beginning Wednesday, March 2 and continuing through Sunday, April 10, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daily and weather permitting (including weekends), temporary lane closures will occur at the following locations to accommodate Shentel crews performing aerial, trenching and directional drilling work for line installations:

Motorists should expect minor delays and use caution while traveling through these work zones, be alert to the changes in traffic patterns and obey temporary signage.  Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
