Congressman Bob Good, representing Virginia's 5th district, has recently voiced his concerns on social media regarding the actions of his fellow lawmakers and U.S. government policies. Through a series of tweets, he has criticized both Republican and Democratic strategies.

On March 3, 2025, Congressman Good questioned Speaker Johnson's commitments to change under Republican control. He expressed frustration over plans for another continuing resolution (CR), stating it would "literally extend the Dem policies & spending levels from when they had full control of govt more than 2 yrs ago." "How many times did @SpeakerJohnson promise things would be different when R’s had full control of govt? But here he is planning ANOTHER CR that will literally extend the Dem policies & spending levels from when they had full control of govt more than 2 yrs ago!"

The following day, March 4, 2025, Good shared a link to an article discussing foreign aid. He highlighted the need to halt borrowing and wasteful spending on foreign aid that allegedly benefits leftist groups without yielding positive outcomes. "Great explanation of why we should stop borrowing and wasting $ on “foreign aid” that enriches leftist groups but produces no positive results."

On March 5, 2025, Good remarked on what he perceives as silence among Republicans concerning necessary spending cuts. He pointed out that the national debt increased by $200 billion in the previous month. "The silence from so many Republicans regarding the need for THEM to make massive spending cuts is deafening…meanwhile, the debt grew by $200 billion last month."
