80.9% of Lynchburg City residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 78,973 citizens living in Lynchburg City in 2021, 80.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 63,874 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 29,354 were male, constituting 46%, and 34,520 were female, making up 54%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Lynchburg City during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.9%.
