Board of Supervisors Presented Commemorative Resolution to Dean Rodgers
The Amherst County Board of Supervisors presented a commemorative resolution to former County Administrator Dean Rodgers at their November 22, 2022, meeting. Mr. Rodgers served as County Administrator from August 1, 2014, to September 30, 2022. The resolution highlighted many of Mr. Rodger’s successes during his tenure as Administrator, including his role in economic development and business friendliness initiatives and his efforts to create recreational spaces for all county citizens. Other notable accomplishments include working to bring broadband internet access to the entire county and making Board meetings more accessible by posting agendas and minutes for Board meetings on the county’s website and live streaming the meetings. Board Member Claudia Tucker thanked Mr. Rodgers for his services and shared about his time with the county before presenting him with the resolution. After the presentation, Dean took a few moments to thank various county department heads and staff members.
