6 New Members Enshrined into Athletics Hall of Fame

Six new members were inducted into the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on Friday night.
The Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022 included representatives from field hockey, football, men’s soccer, men’s track & field and softball.
The six-member class, the 14th to be inducted into the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame, are being honored during special ceremonies surrounding Liberty’s Hall of Fame Weekend football game against UAB on this weekend at Williams Stadium.
The six-member class includes Jose Gomez (men’s soccer), Glenn Inverso (football), Natalie [Barr] Lyttle (field hockey), Jessica Moore (softball), Jacob Swinton (men’s track & field) and Paul Wetmore (head softball coach).
The Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held last night on Friday night at the Alumni Ballroom on the third floor of the Montview Student Union.
Additionally, the six-member class will receive special recognition during the UAB contest the Saturday evening following the ceremony.
The Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame celebrates the best of the best, honoring those who helped shape the face of Liberty Athletics. The Hall of Fame’s now 74 members have each played a key role in helping Liberty grow from an NCCAA program in 1972 to its current status as a thriving NCAA Division I program.
