On Tuesday, Randolph men's basketball released its schedule for the 2022-23 season. The WildCats are scheduled to play 25 games with 12 at home and 13 on the road.
The first three games are at the friendly confines of Giles Gymnasium all against USA South opponents. Randolph's first game is November 8 against the Battling Bishops of NC Wesleyan. Greensboro follows on November 12 and William Peace on November 16. The Greensboro game is Alumni Day while the William Peace contest is Faculty/Staff Appreciation.
The 'Cats hit the road on November 18 as they will compete at the College of Wooster Tournament. Randolph will play Ohio Northern on the 18th followed by either the host Fighting Scots or Mount Aloysius. The WildCats then travel to Mary Baldwin on November 22. The first conference game is November 27 at defending ODAC and National Champion Randolph-Macon. The last game of the road trip is at Guilford on November 30.
Randolph welcomes Roanoke to Lynchburg on December 3 for the first time since 2019. Ferrum follows on December 7 which is the team's Code Black game. The month concludes at Southern Virginia (12/10), Mary Washington (12/17), and an exhibition at Division I William and Mary on December 21.
The New Year starts with the final non-conference game of the season at home against Carolina University on January 2. Randolph returns to ODAC play as they host Virginia Wesleyan on January 4. The WildCats are on the road at EMU (1/7) and Bridgewater (1/11) before the first of two bye weeks on January 14.
Randolph returns to the court on January 18 to host Hampden-Sydney followed by Shenandoah on January 21. The WildCats make the short trip across town to the University of Lynchburg on January 25. Randolph won on the Hornets' court last February 80-76 for its first win there since 2013. ODAC newcomer Averett is next up on the road January 28. The Cougars were USA South Champions last season.
Washington and Lee comes to Giles Gym on February 1 followed by a rematch with the Quakers on February 4. The team's second bye comes on February 8. Rematches against Bridgewater (2/11), W&L (2/15), and Shenandoah (2/18) wrap up the season. The Hornets game will be Senior Day.
