Lynchburg Water Resources to Conduct Sewer Assessment and Survey (Beginning July 25)

Beginning Monday, July 25, and continuing for approximately four weeks, Monday through Thursday during daylight hours, crews from Lynchburg Water Resources (LWR) will work with consultant RK&K and contractor Duke’s Root Control, Inc. to assess several sanitary sewer pipes/manholes throughout the City. This work will include the following components: (1) 25,260 linear feet of pipeline blockage assessments using acoustic technologies; (2) GPS coordinate survey of 173 sewer manholes; and (3) Video surveillance inspection of 106 sewer manholes.

Work will take place on or near properties at the following locations: (PLEASE NOTE: LWR is asking that personal vehicles and other items be removed from these sanitary sewer areas prior to the Monday, July 25 start date.)

Forest Hills Circle

Fulton Street

Glencove Place

Hydro Street

Interlink Road

Link Road

Old One Sixty Lane

Old Trents Ferry Road

Overlink Court

Ravenwood Drive

Rothowood Road

Sedgewick Drive

VES Road

Wheatland Court

Residents at these locations may see field crews accessing the sewer system through manholes on or near their property. There should be no disturbance of property or impacts to traffic.
