The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) has awarded Heath Barret of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance with the Dana Ketterling Lifetime Sales Achievement Award. The award recognizes career sales achievement, with awards based on the total number or total dollar amount of chamber membership sales.

Barret earned recognition in the Bronze category for achieving 500 transactions or $175,000 in sales in chamber memberships throughout his career.

“Membership sales professionals are community champions, showcasing the impact their organizations have on the communities they serve,” said ACCE President & CEO Sheree Anne Kelly. “We celebrate the success of our industry’s top achievers.”

The award is presented in memory of Dana Ketterling, ACCE’s resource development officer, who was a gifted membership professional and champion of chambers of commerce and the communities they serve.

“The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance would not be a robust and stable chamber of commerce without the work of Heath Barret. Heath goes above and beyond to engage prospective members, connect new members, and keep up with decades old members”, stated Alliance CEO and Chief Economic Development Officer, Megan Lucas.

During the pandemic, Heath was crucial in maintaining member relationships and retaining more than 89 percent of membership dollars during a period when many chambers struggled.

Lucas noted, “In 2022, Heath has led our team to the most members to join the Alliance ever in a 6-month span.”

“I am humbled and honored to be recognized as an award winner with those that have come before me in the chamber industry”, said Heath Barret.

“When a salesperson aligns with the vision and mission of the organization, the sales pitch has more value behind it. I believe in the work of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and know the value it provides to the regional business community. I welcome the opportunity to learn about all of our regional businesses and share with them examples of the work done by the Alliance.”
