Thoughts from Head Coach Ritchie McKay

“I think Boyce did a good job of trying to execute their stuff and they were tough-minded. That was a good game for us because we needed to play hard in order to win the game. It is a long trip back from Hawaii and I am not into excuses, but I do know when you travel back the time difference is five hours and some of our guys traveled 14 to 18 hours back; we started defending a little bit better and got a couple of easy baskets.”

Up Next

Liberty will hit the road to begin conference play as the Flames travel to Florida to take on Stetson. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, and can be seen on ESPN+.
