Alliance to Host 7th Annual Economic Summit Darin Mellott of CBRE to give keynote address on 2022 ec

Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance issued the following announcement on Nov. 10

The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance will host the 7th Annual Economic Summit, sponsored by BWX Technologies, the premier business and economic event of the year, on the morning of Friday, December 10, from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Alliance headquarters. The event will feature expert speaker, Darin Mellott, on our region and nation’s economic health and vitality as well as an economic outlook for 2022.

Mr. Darin Mellott, the Americas Director of Research at CBRE, a Dallas-based company specializing across every dimension of commercial real estate will give the keynote address on “Pandemic to Endemic: The New, New Normal…A 2022 Outlook”. In his role, Darin works with members of CBRE’s senior leadership team to provide analysis and develop “house views” on global markets and economic conditions, with a focus on their impact on real estate in the U.S. Additionally, Darin leads and contributes to research and strategy efforts across the globe on behalf of all CBRE’s clients.

Darin is recognized nationally as a respected contributor to economic thought leadership and the business community. Recently, he was named a Forty Under 40 honoree by Utah Business and Harvard Business School selected him to be a participant in the Young American Leaders Program, an extension of the school’s U.S. competitiveness project aimed at promoting cross-sector collaboration to solve pressing issues and achieve shared prosperity in communities.

The Economic Summit will provide pertinent information on the economic growth and development of the Lynchburg region and strong interest in the event is expected. Cost to attend is $30 per person.
