County of Amherst issued the following announcement on Oct. 28
The Amherst County Board of Supervisors would like to congratulate Amherst County's Director of Human Resources, Linda Martin Warner, for receiving the Credentialed Manager designation from ICMA, the International City/County Management Association. Ms. Warner is one of over 1,300 local government management professionals worldwide who are currently credentialed through the ICMA Voluntary Credentialing Program.
Ms. Warner has been with Amherst County for five years and previously served as Assistant County Administrator for both Orange County and Accomack County. Other experience includes time as a Program Administrator with the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and HR Policy Analyst with the Virginia Department of Social Services. She holds dual master's degrees in Public Administration and Urban Planning from UVA. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute and a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Managers.
