76 percent of applicants to Sweet Briar College were admitted for fall 2018

At Sweet Briar College, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 97 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Sweet Briar enrolled 337 students in fall 2018, including 336 in undergraduate and one in graduate programs, data shows. 3.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

49 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 48 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 76 percent of the 654 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 22 percent enrolled.
