Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance issued the following announcement on Feb. 3

The Small Business Development Center – Lynchburg Region is excited to welcome Jawansa Hall. Jawansa Hall comes to the SBDC with over 16 years of creative experience in design, branding, and marketing. Having worked with some of Lynchburg’s top marketing agencies, Jawansa later established his own creative firm known as Blackwater Branding. His innovative but practical application for building brands and brand identities has gained him awards for Best Marketing Agency, Best Graphic Designer, as well as Lynchburg’s Millennial on the Move, now known as Lynchburg Business Magazine’s Top 20 Under 40.

He has served as a sounding board for Central Virginia’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee and also a repeat presenter of Create Virginia, an arts and business conference that gives artists and makers opportunities to learn from one another and from state and national experts about how to build and grow sustainable arts-based ventures. Additionally, Jawansa has shared his entrepreneurial knowledge and love for the arts through non-profits and various after school programs focused on the young creatives of our community.
In his new role with the Small Business Development Center – Lynchburg Region, Jawansa will serve as the Branding & Marketing Business Advisor for Lynchburg and its surrounding counties.

“My goal as an advisor is to be a great listener to each SBDC client,” said Jawansa Hall. “One that provides strong guidance and professional insight into what it takes to maintain, revitalize, or even pivot a brand.”
When Jawansa isn’t consulting or creating, you can find him spending quality time with his beautiful wife, Michelline Hall, and legendary daughter, Keziah.
