Portion of Church Street and Sidewalk to Temporarily Close 

On Wednesday, January 18, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., a portion of Church Street (from the intersection at 12th Street to 13th Street) will be closed to accommodate crews from Appalachian Power replacing an existing power pole at 1217 Church Street. A detour for all traffic, including emergency vehicles, will be in place during this time. Motorists should use caution while traveling near the work zone and obey temporary signage.  

A portion of the sidewalk on Church Street (from the intersection at 12th Street to 13th Street) will be closed to pedestrians during this time as well.
