University of Lynchburg men’s golf and director of men’s and women’s golf Michael Veverka are happy to reveal their fall schedule for the 2022 season.

Lynchburg tees off for its first of four tournaments at the Starmount Forest Invitational on Monday, Sept. 26. The Hornets head to Flowery Branch, Ga. for the Royal Lakes Invitational beginning Monday, Oct. 10. Lynchburg came in fourth at Emory University’s tournament a season ago.

The Hornets round out their fall schedule at the very competitive Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational in Miramar Beach, Fla. and finish the autumn at the O’Briant-Jensen at The Cardinal by Pete Dye.

After setting a program record for scoring average at 298.6 in 2022-23, the Hornets are eager to improve upon their successes. Led by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference player and rookie of the year Eddie Coffren V, Lynchburg welcomes in five newcomers to the roster from four different states. Coffren V was the story of the 2021-22 season after setting a program record for scoring average at 72.5 and earning a spot at the NCAA tournament. Andrew Watson, a two-time all-conference player, returns for his junior season after posting the fifth-lowest scoring average in the conference as a sophomore.
