Louisiana Tech defeated the Liberty Lady Flames 10-0 at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium on April 25. The Bulldogs’ win secured the series, and they will attempt a sweep in the next game. The Lady Flames now hold a record of 23-25 overall and are 15-8 in conference play, while Louisiana Tech improves to 25-23 overall and 11-12 in Conference USA.

The game was delayed twice due to weather, resulting in a total duration of six hours and nineteen minutes. Louisiana Tech took an early lead with two runs in the second inning and continued to add runs throughout the game, including four unearned runs in the sixth inning after a Liberty error. They capped their scoring with three more runs in the seventh.

Liberty struggled offensively, recording only four hits compared to Louisiana Tech’s ten. Bryannah Campos earned the win for Louisiana Tech by pitching four innings of two-hit relief. Ruby Fidge started for Louisiana Tech, allowing two hits over three innings. Abigail Findlay took the loss for Liberty after allowing two runs on one hit across less than two innings pitched.

The Lady Flames honored five seniors—Brynn McManus, Savannah Nash, Aubry Norris, Brooke Roberts, and Savanah Whatley—in a pregame ceremony before facing only their second conference series loss since joining Conference USA prior to the 2024 season. The team is now tied with Delaware for third place in conference standings.
