The Liberty Flames baseball team will host the Charlotte 49ers at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium for their only matchup of the season on April 28. The game marks Charlotte’s first-ever visit to this stadium, with coverage available on ESPN+ and LFSN Radio.

This contest is significant as it concludes a four-game homestand for Liberty and represents one of six remaining home games for the team this season. The Flames currently hold a 17-8 record at home and recently secured sole possession of second place in their conference after winning two out of three games against Delaware.

Head coach Bradley LeCroy, now in his second year with Liberty, has led the team to a 61-40 record since taking over. LeCroy reached his 100th career coaching victory earlier this season with a win over Hofstra.

Liberty’s performance at home continues to be strong; since opening Worthington Field in 2013, they have posted a .699 winning percentage there. Last season, they finished with a 20-13 home record and hosted the Conference USA Baseball Championship.

On individual achievements, third baseman Jordan Jaffe was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week after batting .500 with 14 runs batted in across five games. Jaffe also extended his streak of reaching base safely to 32 consecutive games. Meanwhile, right-hander Cooper Harrington was included on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List after recording seven saves so far this year.

Looking ahead, Liberty will aim to continue its successful run at home as it approaches key matchups that could impact its standing within Conference USA.
