Liberty Tennis announced on Apr. 24 that registration is now open for two summer camps at the Liberty Tennis Complex, with options available for both day and overnight stays.

The camps are intended to provide instruction and exposure to tennis for girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Organizers say the sessions will take place from June 13-17 and July 15-19, with fees set at $375 for day campers and $925 for overnight participants.

Derek Schwandt, head coach of Liberty Men’s Tennis, will direct both sessions. The coaching staff will include current Liberty tennis coaches as well as former men’s and women’s team student-athletes who will serve as instructors. “Come experience Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ with the Liberty tennis team,” said Schwandt. “We provide top-notch instruction and share our Liberty tennis team culture with the campers. Campers will get to know the university throughout the week, and the camp will be a lot of fun.”

The events are scheduled to take place at both outdoor stadium courts at the Liberty Tennis Complex and inside at the six-court Liberty Indoor Tennis Center. Organizers note that participation is open to any interested individuals within age limits, regardless of skill level or background.

For more information about registration or camp details, interested parties can contact Coach Schwandt by email.
