The Liberty softball team earned three end-of-year awards as the 2026 Conference USA Softball All-Conference Team was announced on May 5.

This recognition highlights the achievements of Liberty athletes during the season. Sophomore designated player Alexia Carrasquillo was named to the CUSA Softball All-Conference first team, while outfielder Dani Lee and infielder Maci Strickland were selected for the All-Freshman Team.

Carrasquillo, Lee, and Strickland each received their first career end-of-year awards. Strickland was also named CUSA Freshman of the Week twice this season. Carrasquillo, from Clermont, Florida, bats .339 with a team-leading 11 doubles, 11 home runs and 44 runs batted in overall. In conference play she hit .364 with eight doubles, seven home runs and 26 RBI. She ranks in the top ten in Conference USA in most offensive categories. The sophomore recorded go-ahead three-run home runs against James Madison on March 10 and Middle Tennessee on March 15. She posted thirteen multiple-hit games this season.

Lee is a freshman from McLouth, Kansas who bats .373 for the year with seven doubles, four home runs and nineteen RBI overall. In conference play she hit .353 with five doubles, three home runs and sixteen RBI. Her ten-game hitting streak earlier this season tied for fourth longest by a Liberty freshman in program history.

Strickland has taken over third base as a freshman from Dallas, Georgia while batting .291 overall with eight doubles, three triples, three homers and twenty-one RBI. In conference play she hit .345 with six doubles, three triples—leading all CUSA players—and two homers along with fifteen RBI.

The Lady Flames (26-27 overall; 18-9 CUSA) are preparing for the upcoming Conference USA Softball Championship hosted in Newark where they will be seeded third as two-time defending champions.
