Liberty University announced on Apr. 29 that its 2026 football schedule is now complete, following the release of eight Conference USA games earlier in the day.

The finalized schedule is important for fans and supporters who plan to follow the Flames throughout the season. It also provides clarity for travel, ticket purchases, and event planning related to Liberty’s home and away games.

Last month, Liberty confirmed its four non-conference opponents for the upcoming season. The team will open against James Madison in Harrisonburg on September 5. Gardner-Webb and Ball State will visit Williams Stadium on September 12 and September 19, respectively. The Flames then travel to play Coastal Carolina on Thursday night, September 24.

Conference play begins with a Friday night game at Delaware on October 2. Liberty will host Sam Houston at home during a “Midweek on the Mountain” matchup scheduled for Thursday, October 8. The team then faces defending Conference USA champion Kennesaw State away on Wednesday, October 21.

Homecoming and Hall of Fame weekend is set for Saturday, October 31 when FIU visits Williams Stadium. In November, Liberty travels to New Mexico State (November 7) and Missouri State (November 28), while hosting Middle Tennessee (November 14) for Military Appreciation Day and Western Kentucky (November 21) for Employee Appreciation Day.

The regular season concludes with these matchups before the Conference USA Football Championship game takes place at the site of the regular season champion on Friday, December 4. This title game will be broadcast nationally by CBS Sports Network.
