Delegate Wendell Walker, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, recently addressed his constituents and followers through several posts on social media, touching on topics ranging from condolences for a colleague to local community celebrations and political commentary.
On October 6, 2025, Walker expressed sympathy following the loss suffered by Delegate Candi Mundon King. In his post he wrote: “Patsy and I join our House of Delegates family in lifting Delegate @CandiMundonKing and her family up in prayer after the loss of her daughter. We are lifting them up in prayer and asking God to surround them with comfort and peace during this difficult time of grief.”
Later that same day, Walker highlighted an event celebrating Five18 Family Services. He posted: “Who needs a shovel when you’ve got a sledgehammer? It was fantastic to celebrate the new chapter of Five18 Family Services this morning and the lives they continue to impact through family care, counseling, and community resources that bring relief and restore hope.” Five18 Family Services is known for providing support services such as counseling and community resources aimed at strengthening families.
On October 8, 2025, Walker turned his attention to state politics with remarks about law enforcement’s position on Jay Jones’ candidacy for Attorney General. In his statement he said: “Sheriffs from across Virginia, including @CCVASheriff Whit Clark, are calling for Jay Jones to withdraw. If our sheriffs and law enforcement can’t trust you, neither can the people of Virginia. That alone disqualifies you from serving as Attorney General.” This comment comes amid ongoing discussions regarding public trust in elected officials within Virginia’s political landscape.
Walker serves as a delegate representing part of Lynchburg City in Virginia’s House of Delegates.
