Delegate Wendell Walker, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 23rd district, has recently used his social media accounts to promote community events and highlight local initiatives.
On September 24, 2025, Walker encouraged residents to attend an upcoming festival by posting: Mark your calendars for the 25th Annual Day at the Point Fall Festival at Point of Honor on October 4, 10 am-4 pm. Hosted by @LburgMuse, the event features historic demonstrations, local food vendors, house tours, and activities for all ages. It’s FREE and open to the public! https://t.co/o6GPFe6wYT.
Later that same day, Walker shared remarks he made to students about their future roles in industry and manufacturing: “Walker told the students he knows they are the hope of the future.
‘So many employers are capturing your skills and your talents that you’re learning now to keep the industries and manufacturing in America going forward,’ Walker said.”

On September 25, 2025, Walker highlighted his participation in a community safety initiative with local law enforcement: Despite a little rain yesterday, it was great to join the @LynchburgPolice for their community safety stroll in the Chestnut Hill/Fort Hill neighborhoods. It’s always great to see firsthand how they work to keep our city safe while strengthening relationships with residents! https://t.co/BVm9mQWIe9.
Walker has represented parts of Lynchburg and Amherst County since first being elected in November 2019. The Day at the Point Fall Festival is an annual event organized by Lynchburg Museum System at Point of Honor—a historic site in Lynchburg—aimed at celebrating local history and fostering community engagement.
