Delegate Wendell Walker, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, used his social media platform on August 28, 2025, to highlight recent law enforcement initiatives and state efforts aimed at community safety and child protection.

In a post published at 13:03 UTC, Walker wrote: “Glad to join Attorney General @JasonMiyaresVA and regional law enforcement leaders for last week’s Law Enforcement Roundtable at the @LynchburgPolice HQ. I’m grateful for their partnership and commitment to keeping our communities safe. https://t.co/5lrZF6wurd”

Later that day, at 17:15 UTC, Walker acknowledged the work of state officials in internet safety by stating: “Big thanks to Secretary Kelly Gee for visiting the SOVA-ICAC center today and for presenting the proclamation recognizing Internet Safety & Online Predator Awareness Day on behalf of @GovernorVA! ICAC plays a vital role in keeping Virginia’s children safe from online predators. https://t.co/G62iQNxbXy”

Shortly after, he provided access to the official proclamation with another post: “Read the proclamation https://t.co/2V3rLdTvZk”

Walker has represented his district in the Virginia House since 2020. The Law Enforcement Roundtable he referenced was attended by Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and local police leadership, focusing on public safety issues in Lynchburg. The SOVA-ICAC (Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force) is part of a national network dedicated to investigating technology-facilitated crimes against children and raising awareness about online dangers. In recent years, both state agencies and non-profits have increased efforts to address internet safety due to growing concerns over online exploitation targeting minors.
