Congressman John McGuire, who represents Virginia’s Fifth District in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently used his social media platform to highlight his participation in a memorial event and encourage constituent engagement.

On May 13, 2026, McGuire posted on X that he “was honored to join my House colleagues in a prayer vigil to honor the fallen law enforcement officers who gave their lives protecting our communities from those who seek to harm and destroy our society.” The post referenced an event commemorating law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

Later that day, McGuire shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/g2Tf9uQtcM” on May 13, 2026.

The following day, May 14, 2026, McGuire addressed constituents directly with a message about his commitment to service. He wrote: “Working for the great folks of Virginia’s Fifth District is a responsibility I don’t take lightly. Congressman John McGuire has served as the representative for Virginia’s Fifth Congressional District since January 2025. The district covers a large portion of central and southern Virginia and includes both rural and urban communities.
