Congressman John McGuire has recently used his social media platform to discuss legislative efforts and public appearances. In a series of posts made between August 22 and August 25, 2025, McGuire outlined the goals of “The One Big Beautiful Bill” and reflected on his participation in an anti-human trafficking summit.

On August 22, McGuire stated, “.@POTUS seeks a Peace through strength approach, The One Big Beautiful Bill reinforces this approach by: Bolstering America’s national security to make our country respected again. including $150 billion to modernize our military and strengthen national security.”

Three days later, on August 25, he addressed the bill’s economic objectives, writing, “The One Big Beautiful Bill reverses the economic harm caused by the Biden administration by: Putting nearly $10,000 more in take home pay for the average American. Securing 7.2 million full time jobs for Americans. Raising real GDP by 4.9% over four years, leading to 1.2%”

In another post dated August 23, McGuire described his involvement at an event focused on combating human trafficking: “I had the privilege of speaking at Attorney General Miyares’s Human Trafficking Summit. I emphasized that human trafficking is not a party issue, it’s a human issue.”

Congressman John McGuire represents Virginia’s 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has previously highlighted issues related to national security and economic growth as key components of his legislative agenda.
