On August 29, McGuire recognized the United States Marine Corps Reserves’ long-standing service and membership. In his post he wrote: “With well over a century of service and 100,000 active members, we wish a happy birthday to the USMC Reserves! Later that day, McGuire described a visit to local community organizations in Drakes Branch. He stated: “What a treat it was to stop by VFW Post 8902 and visit the Drakes Branch Farmers Market. On August 31, McGuire posted about attending Liberty University Football’s home opener alongside several university leaders and fellow lawmakers. He wrote: “Tracy and I had a fantastic time at Liberty University Football’s home opener.
