Campbell County Parks and Recreation has announced a variety of activities for March, with programs available for residents of different ages and interests.
Adult Open Gym Pickleball sessions will be held at Rustburg Elementary School Gym on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Participants can register through the PlayTime Scheduler website. The sessions are designed for beginners, with equipment provided and staff available to explain rules.
A Rustburg Softball Pickleball Tournament is scheduled for March 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rustburg High School Gym. Karate classes will take place from March 26 through April 28 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Timbrook Library Basement/Patio, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Registration opens March 19 for participants aged six and up, with a $65 fee per person. Spring Soccer registration is open until March 2 for boys and girls ages four through eighteen living in Campbell County households. Teams will practice after formation in March across Brookneal, Brookville, Concord, and Rustburg locations; U6–U8 teams play within the county while U10 and above compete regionally through CVRSA leagues. Fees start at $75 for the first child with discounts for additional children; late fees apply after March 2. Campbell County Public Schools District enrolled nearly eight thousand students during the most recent school year—a slight increase over the previous year—reflecting continued engagement among area families (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home).
