Bob Good, U.S. Congressman representing Virginia’s 5th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account on September 16, 2025, addressing government spending and healthcare policy.
In one post at 11:52 a.m., Good shared a link without additional commentary: https://t.co/jwkc0kFMbn.
Later that day, at 1:36 p.m., he commented on congressional spending priorities by stating, “Here’s a thot: if Congress wants to spend more $$ on member security, they should cut something else to PAY for it, instead of BORROWING it.”
At 3:54 p.m., Good addressed the topic of healthcare subsidies with the message, “So @SpeakerJohnson says no extension of the ObamaCare subsidies. Let’s hope he means it.”
Bob Good has served in Congress since replacing Denver Riggleman in 2021 and previously held office as a member of the Campbell County Board of Supervisors from 2016 to 2019. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1965 and currently resides in Lynchburg.
