Bob Good, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 5th district, has recently shared his thoughts on government spending and national economic policy via a series of tweets on his personal X account.

On April 11, 2025, Good questioned when Republican members of Congress would transition from planning to execution regarding fiscal reforms, asking, “When will ‘next time’ become ‘this time’ for congressional Republicans to cut spending?”

On April 12, 2025, he expressed a desire for action rather than promises in another tweet, stating, “Oh for the day congressional Republicans can say ‘this is what we DID’ instead of ‘this is what we WILL do’ regarding cutting spending and shrinking government…we can dream.”

Finally, on April 14, 2025, Good made a call for urgent action, advocating for a decisive stance on national fiscal issues by urging, “President Trump should declare a national debt emergency.”

Bob Good has been serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Virginia’s 5th District, since 2021, following his service on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors from 2016 to 2019. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1965, Good currently resides in Lynchburg, Virginia. His educational background includes a BS from Liberty University in 1988 and further studies in 2010 at the same institution.
