Bob Good, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 5th district since 2021, recently shared his perspectives on legislative and international matters through a series of tweets. Good has been vocal about fiscal responsibility and energy policy, reflecting his conservative stance on these issues.

On June 19, 2025, Bob Good urged several senators to continue their efforts in modifying what he referred to as the “Big Bill.” He mentioned Senators Ron Johnson, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, and Rick Scott in his tweet: “Sen. Ron Johnson, Sen. Mike Lee, Sen. Rand Paul & Sen. Rick Scott: keep fighting to make the Big Bill less Ugly! This is the only real opportunity to impact the deficit & debt during these 4 yrs!”.

Later that day, Good referenced various geopolitical and domestic topics in another tweet: “Israel vs. Iran, Trump on illegals & Chinese students, and America First by Good for America https://t.co/c7kQt06Af9”. The post highlights issues such as U.S.-Iran relations and immigration policies under former President Donald Trump.

On June 20, 2025, Good addressed energy policy concerns related to the same legislative bill discussed earlier. He advised House conservatives against supporting any Senate amendments that would include climate credits or subsidies for renewable energy sources: “Every House conservative should vote NO if the Senate sends the Big Bill back with the extended climate credits and wind & solar subsidies that will cost hundreds of billions, massively increase energy prices, and weaken our vulnerable power grid.”

Bob Good was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1965 and currently resides in Lynchburg. He graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and again pursued further education at Liberty University in 2010.
