Bob Good, U.S. Congressman representing Virginia’s 5th district since 2021, used his social media platform over three consecutive days in late July 2025 to criticize both political parties’ handling of government leadership and the ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein files.
On July 29, 2025, Good wrote: “They promise change, but Washington stays the same. Leadership disappoints, funding gets rubber-stamped, and the truth about Epstein stays buried. Here’s why nothing ever changes: https://t.co/pZVeKhuQCM”
The following day, on July 30, he posted: “Democrats would NOT have anything with the Epstein files, if Republican leaders stopped ACTING like Democrats have ANYTHI NG with the Epstein files.”
On July 31, Good shifted focus to a core policy issue for Republicans by stating: “Why are so many Republicans afraid to talk about the issue of life? In this episode of Good for America, I explain why the GOP must stop running from the pro-life cause—and start leading again. Listen now: https://t.co/ufT4zT3YbV”
Good has served as Virginia’s 5th district representative since defeating Denver Riggleman in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Campbell County Board of Supervisors from 2016 to 2019 and currently resides in Lynchburg. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1965, Good is part of a broader cohort of lawmakers addressing long-standing debates within their party and between party lines.
The recent tweets underscore ongoing frustration among some Republican members regarding internal party strategy on controversial issues such as abortion rights and investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein.
