Bob Good, U.S. Congressman representing Virginia’s 5th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account in mid-May 2026 addressing national debt, border security, and redistricting efforts.
On May 17, 2026, Good criticized fellow lawmakers over the federal debt limit by stating: “If you are a “team player” going along and taking us to $40 trillion debt for the midterms, you are part of the PROBLEM —-not Thomas Massie & Rand Paul”.
The following day, he questioned progress on immigration enforcement infrastructure with: “BTW—-why aren’t we hearing anything about border wall construction?!?!” (May 18, 2026).
Later that evening, Good shared news about political developments regarding congressional districts: “Democrats’ Redistricting Efforts Defeated https://t.co/c8iyBriSR4” (May 18, 2026).
Good has represented Virginia’s 5th district in Congress since replacing Denver Riggleman in 2021. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Campbell County Board of Supervisors from 2016 to 2019. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1965 and currently residing in Lynchburg at age 57, Good continues to be active on issues related to fiscal policy and electoral matters.
