Bob Good, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 5th district since 2021, posted a series of messages on his social media account in early April 2026. The tweets covered topics ranging from federal defense spending to religious observance and legal affairs.
On April 4, 2026, Good commented on proposed changes to the U.S. defense budget under former President Donald Trump, stating: “So Trump wants to borrow & spend $600B more on defense, going from $900B to $1.5T. But he wants to “pay” for it by cutting $73B in non-defense spending. Guess he is using “tariff math” again.”
Later that same day, Good shared an Easter message with his followers: “Easter Special: He is Risen! https://t.co/kOwGx2XKtS”.
Two days later, on April 6, Good posted another brief statement: “Courts, Cash, and Controversy https://t.co/gqN6YZECLj”.
Bob Good has represented Virginia’s 5th congressional district since replacing Denver Riggleman in 2021 and previously served on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors from 2016 to 2019. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1965, he currently resides in Lynchburg.
