Liberty University announced on May 1 that junior outfielder Paige Doerr and sophomore pitcher Camden Anders have been selected for the 2026 Conference USA Softball All-Academic Team.
This recognition highlights both athletes’ achievements in academics and athletics. Doerr, from Coburg, Oregon, maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a law and policy major. Anders, originally from Valdosta, Georgia, also holds a 4.0 GPA while studying business administration.
Doerr is one of four players to be named to the CUSA All-Academic Team in both 2025 and 2026. She has transitioned successfully to center field this season, leading her team with eight outfield assists—seven of which came during conference play—and batting .292 with four doubles, two home runs, and fourteen runs batted in during CUSA games. She has also contributed key hits throughout the season including a bases-loaded double in a win against No. 13 Virginia Tech.
Anders joined Liberty after transferring from Georgia Tech and quickly became the team’s top pitcher. In conference play she recorded a 9-3 record with a 2.34 earned run average (ERA), one shutout no-hitter, fifty-eight strikeouts, and held opponents to a .228 batting average. Overall this season she is twelve wins against six losses with an ERA of 3.10.
The announcement comes as Conference USA prepares to reveal its all-conference teams and major award winners next Tuesday. The Lady Flames currently hold a record of twenty-four wins and twenty-seven losses overall (sixteen-nine in conference) as they continue their series at Kennesaw State.
