One running event is scheduled in the Lynchburg Metro during the week ending May 1, providing an opportunity for adult participants to compete in organized races and maintain an active lifestyle.

Gilles Ouedraogo broke Liberty University’s outdoor triple jump record with a leap of 52-4.5 to win at Penn Relays on April 25 amid challenging weather conditions in Philadelphia. Several other Liberty athletes also secured top-three finishes during the meet.
These former Lynchburg Metro area high school athletes will take part in events on Sunday, April 26.
Liberty heads into next week’s Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship as the top seed following a strong regular season performance at Texarkana Country Club in Arkansas. The Flames aim to add another conference title after reaching match play each year since joining CUSA.
